Weekly Campaign Updates
-
Due to my campaign being basically on auto pilot now when it comes to tuning my keywords and monitoring it I will switch to weekly updates to let you all know how I’m doing. If I make any drastic changes along the way I’ll give a quick post letting you know what I’ve done and the effect it had on my campaign.
I’m currently on a roll of 5 days of profit so I hope that doesn’t change anytime soon. The things I’m now doing on the campaign will take longer to see the results as I have to wait until YSM has recognized the changes and updated the quality score etc.
If you are a new affiliate you need to stop being the one that is reading up how to do this in the forums and get started on a daily basis, even if you don’t have much time you can still put a campaign together whether it takes a week, two weeks or more. The only way you will be able to truly learn affiliate marketing is to get stuck in.
This time two weeks ago I didn’t even have this campaign and from day one I have been making a profit which seem to becoming roughly $35 a day now. Not bad for a first attempt
. Before I even wet my feet properly in affiliate marketing I decided to set my goal to $1,000 a month from affiliate marketing which I thought was a reasonable goal – my campaign has been running a total of 9 days now and I have already generated $588 so I can pretty much say I’ll reach that this month and be ready to raise the bar depending on the end result. If the trend keeps up I should be looking at pulling in just under $2,000 in those 20 days with a bit of luck.Get new posts sent directly via email by subscribing to my RSS feed.

Great Case Study
I would be interested in hearing more about how you selected your offer and what you used for a landing page? a standalone site or part of a blog….
Thanks!

Hey Alex,
I didn’t put much thought into picking the offer, it’s a saturated market and just thought if others can do it – I can.
Regarding a landing page I used a simple 1 page landing page with a couple of articles for the niche. I’m in the process of building out a site for it with loads of content etc to try and improve the performance.

Another one for you would be how you split you keyword groups up and if they all went to the same landing page?
Thanks!

I take out commonly used keywords, say for example I had this as my keyword list.
blue widgets
buy blue widgets
blue widgets online
red widgets
buy red widgets
red widgets online
I would split them into 2 groups:
blue widgets
buy blue widgets
blue widgets online
red widgets
buy red widgets
red widgets online
