Temporary Upgrade in Workspace
-
You can check out my previous workspace on this post, in my last comment on that post I said
“Yea I love using dual monitors, I would say that I don’t think I would ever be able to go back to single but I have just bought a netbook for when I’m travelling and I’m loving it.”
It just so happens that I have my main setup packed away as I’m in the process of moving so I have gone back to working on my netbook which is usually fine, other than I find it awkward when designing on such a small screen, when making landing page graphics, banners or anything else in PhotoShop I like to have it all visible so that I can see how it looks overall.
Anyway I decided to whip out a last minute change which allowed me to increase my productivity
check it out below:

Hey Richard,
that brings a question to my mind…What do you do, as an affiliate marketer, when you wanna take let’s say a 1week vacation? Do you just keep it on “autopilot”(if that’s even really possible:S) or do you go on vacation but bring your computer along and check once a day if things are going ok…Or just rarely take any vacations lol.
That’s really a question i got myself thinking about…Is the affiliate marketing business, when your one person alone, a business that you can freely decide and leave for sometime without worrying about your revenue…

Hey, sorry I’ve had abit of a mental weekend so forgot to reply to your question. Every time I’ve been on holiday since working full time I usually take my netbook to be on the safe side and usually check it every day or 2 to make sure things are running smooth.
I try not to take a holiday when I’m just starting a campaign or feel that it’s not been providing constant profit without me having to babysit it. If i do find myself in that situation I’d just pause it until I’m back.
Although when I went to the Domincan Republic for xmas and new year I took my netbook and intended on working for a few days a week as I went for 3 weeks. That didn’t happen at all, I did use my computer to catch up on emails and check how things were going but when provided with a free bar and sunshine (something we don’t see in the UK) it was hard to not get sidetracked
