There is not long left of September so I thought I would give a few updates of what’s been going on and some things I will be focusing on next month.

Firstly you will know of the competition with Paul over at Inspired Affiliate, so far it’s going great for me as I’m in the lead by a substantial amount but there is still over a week left so that could all change.

Until recently I have been having a bad month as far as profits go, the trouble I had with my campaign last weekend really made my overall profit suffer, at one point I was about $500 in the red due to one keyword, all of a sudden it spiked up and started spending over $500 a day which was weird – luckily I caught it early enough and managed to stop it.

Since then it’s been a matter of building back my loss day by day until I managed to go from in the red to in the green yesterday, I’m currently about $100 in profit this month so far which is a good sign.

As far as revenue goes I’m still going strong and heading towards smashing yet another goal. Taking my current revenue and dividing it 19 (the days into this month), my average revenue per day is just under $150 a day. Using that as the norm it means this month I should end up making about $4,465 by the end, that means I will have managed to double last month’s revenue .

I’ve decided that as well as having a revenue goal this month I will have a profit goal, after all, this is what really affects me come payday. Giving that I’m about $100 in profit at the moment I’m going to target $1,000 in profit by the end of the month. That gives me 10 days (including today) to reach that.

The problem is that it doesn’t leave me much room to try out new campaigns because they tend to make a loss in the beginning and my current ones usually pull me through so I don’t lose a great deal of money myself. I actually have plans to get another campaign live around the middle of next week so I can see how that goes. It may even help me reach my $1,000 profit goal this month .

I haven’t had much time recently to get posts up that will provide good tips on how to make some money in affiliate marketing but that will change next month. I’ve been extremely busy with other projects so it doesn’t leave much time to sit down and write posts.
