SEO Site Challenge

In my last post I did mention that I’m now trying out niche market sites to get organic (free) traffic in the hope of bringing in some extra revenue. I have set myself a goal to build 10 sites each bringing in a lead or 2 a day.

Even if the payouts range from $10-$30 that would still be a nice $100-$300/day profit from free traffic. At the moment my expenses are pretty low so before I dive into getting a mortgage I think it’s a good idea to spend some of my time on the things that take longer to get into action. I’m sure that if I can get them doing 1/lead a day that in time that will rise to 2, 3… you get the picture.

I’ve setup 2 (1 not being indexed) and working on the 3rd as we speak. I have made a checklist kind of spreadsheet with the steps needed to make sure I don’t forget anything. I only spend a few hours a day on creating new sites because I’m also running ppc & media buys on them too.

Also on a side note my first one received its first organic lead which gives me the confidence boost that I’m doing something right – the paid side of things is beginning to pick up too I just need to scale more.

It’s all low volume at the momemnt but hopefully as time goes on it will provide a nice steadier stream of income ontop of the paid side of things – I want to cover my back more from what happened last time which took me back to starting fresh pretty much.

    Hi Richard,

I see we are following similar paths… I had started to build nichesites alongside ppc to cpa a year ago, but only put emphasis on the nichesites and organic traffic when I got hit on my ppc to cpa campaign, cutting my income by 90% from one day to the next.

I am building my network of sites steadily, and I am improving my traffic generation strategies as I progress, fine-tuning here and there.

Once I reach a certain monthly income level I will reinforce outsourcing so I can accelerate the growth of my business. For now outsourcing is mainly content generation (article writing).

I will be glad to share tips and experiences with you, what works, what doesn’t.

Keep the good stuff up, mate ;-)

    Florian

Yeah it does suck having things wiped out over night, I’m splitting up my time amongst 2-3 projects so that I don’t get bored or tired of something.

Hit me up on msn or aim, always enjoy sharing experiences and tips with other people – within reason :)

I like the blog and am looking forward to more seo posts. Free traffic is always great. Although it’s not really free when you are spending time and maybe money on articles or back links. However, you don’t have to spend money daily for visitors, watch your stats, links etc… I find it interesting you already got a lead. Even with some smaller traffic it sounds like you are really dialed in.

I’m in the same boat. Have 9 sites planned out for this year. Just can’t or have the desire to compete with PPC anymore. Way too much fluctuation and babysitting.

I’d rather build a series of sites that pull in $20-50 a day on a regular basis with very little effort than sit there watching my trackers or worrying about a slap.

I’m exactly where you’re at. I’m trying to make some of my sites SEO but it’s taking a really really long time to build backlinks, articles, forums, stuff like that. Great job, getting a lead off of it already! You’re doing something right.

Do you have any tips on how I could do this SEO process faster?

I’ve been flip-flopping between PPC and SEO. Being a new affiliate with a really tight budget makes it difficult to test offers properly. Once I can get a steady “SEO Salary” I won’t mind using some of that money to test out campaigns. I’ve got 5 projects that I’m working on now. It’s a good bit of work but once its producing $, it’ll feel great.

    Good luck!

SEO work is exhausting, I keep thinking I have got a good setup, then I read some advice and have to redo every post again *sigh*
