Richard Bonner vs Inspired Affiliate Competition

I’ve been trying to get my readers involved in the action since the start of this blog and so far, it hasn’t gone exactly to plan which is understandable from a new blog. So, what better way to start by offering you the chance to win some cash prizes?

Myself and Paul from Inspired Affiliate have decided to run a competition during September to give us the motivation and drive to keep focused on our affiliate marketing businesses and at the same time – reward my our readers with some great prizes when I win depending on who’s the winner.

    Richard Bonner vs Inspired Affiliate

I’ve been speaking to Paul for a few days now and we are basically at the same stage throughout our affiliate marketing careers which makes this a fair competition, whoever generates the most revenue throughout the month of September will be the winner. To most people that will sound stupid because the winner may actually be losing money, for example if I was to spend $5000 to make $4000 and Paul was to spend $2000 to make $3000 – I would actually be the winner although he made more money and had the more successful campaign/s.

The reason we decided to do it this way is because in the early stages, profit is not really the most important factor of affiliate marketing. Yeah, it’s nice to hit profit from day one (like me ;) ) but if you can get the traffic and leads coming in on a daily basis with careful tuning and tweaking you can begin to make a profit for months to come from that campaign. It’s a fact that almost everyone who starts out affiliate marketing will lose money with new campaigns, even some of the top affiliates will because if they enter a new niche they need to find out what converts and what doesn’t before they can scale it to make the $XXX,XXX a month they do.

    Right, back to the contest…

The winner will get to give away three prizes to readers of their blog, which gets paid for by the loser. As you can see this is a great opportunity for me because when I win I get to give you all the chance to win one of three prizes, all paid for by Paul :) .

    How to enter

Getting involved in this has never been easier, all you have to do is sign up to my newsletter below which will enable you to receive automatic updates on the competition and if possible leave a comment showing your support. The winner will then choose randomly out of the people who have signed up to win the prizes.

Enter now and get automatically entered into the draw, you will never receive any spam from me and you may wish to unsubscribe after the contest is over.

I haven’t decided on the final prizes which will be given out but we have set the budget so I will be having a think over the next few days and update you all when I have found the perfect prizes. Due to people living all over the world it may end up being three cash prizes but I’ll try spice things up a little with cool gadgets or something.

Thanks Andy, so far you have a great chance of winning a prize – I’m sure more people will sign up when they realize I’m going to win Paul :p

Just signed up for the contest updates. Not really interested in winning anything (although every little bit helps), more interested in seeing how well you perform.

Yeah I’m keen to see what happens, I know I’m ahead at the moment but it only takes my campaign to flop or Paul to create one that does very well and it could all turn around.

Plus like you said, winning the top prize of $100 would go a long way with financing your own campaigns.
