Review of my 2009 Goals
-
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you may have found the post I did with some of my goals for 2009. If not below is the summary of what I hoped to achieve:
Become a full time affiliate marketer – This was my main goal of the year because once I managed to go from part time to full time I can concentrate 100% on working online whether it being affiliate marketing related or not. I went full time on the 23rd March, 2009 so I am happy to have achieved that goal.
Reach 1,000 RSS readers on my blog – As of posting this my RSS count is 614, throughout the year I hit a peak of about so I was a fair bit behind on this goal. To be honest this goal wasn’t a big issue for me and I didn’t do any promotion or advertising for my blog other than request a link on Aff Buzz so all in all I’m really happy of how it’s gone.
I’m sure that as time goes on and my RSS count increases it will have a snowball effect and continue to rise.
Hit 6 figures a month – I was keen to see how this goal turned out because pretty much starting from scratch I had a big job ahead of me if I wanted to successfully average 6 figures a month in revenue. Just by doing a quick check it seems that I’m just under half way doing ~$41,000 on average over the year so although not reaching that goal it’s been a great first year.
I did manage to hit the 6 figure/month twice throughout the year with my record month being a little under $145,000. I’m guessing that I will continue with this goal until I manage to conquer it, let’s hope 2010 is the year I can do that.
Having been away for just over a week in January I have to play catch up.

Wow, it’s really amazing that you can gain 6 figures income in short of time
I really need to learn a lot from you
I started my affiliate website this year, my target is to get $1000/month, hopefully I can make it.

Cheers, although I didn’t manage to hit the goal (average of 6 figures/month) it’s good I at least managed to get up there a few times.
I feel that with everything I have learnt and my experience I should be able to get that this year.
I have a post scheduled with my 2010 goals listed so stay tuned.

Congratulations on all of your accomplishments in 2009. Is that $41,000 average net or gross? Thanks for the updates!

How long were you learning and trying affiliate marketing while still with a day job?

I think I began reading up when I started this blog (around August) and then I went full time back in May/March (I believe)
