Record Breaking Day
-
It’s been a while since I broke any new records but things finally seem to be going in the right direction, it just goes to show what you can do when you push yourself that little bit further. Yesterday saw my highest revenue day since I begun affiliate marketing earning $340.
While this number is fairly low considering I’ve recently read posts about record 5 figure days but everyone has to start somewhere right? Also for all those who are interested in what really counts, I spent exactly $171.83 to make that $340 so I made a profit of $168.17 for the day. Just think if that was to become the ‘norm’ I would be making over $60,000/year.
Now the reason why I’m so excited is that this progress was due to one of my latest campaigns, in total it had over 60,000 keywords and I only uploaded 10,000 to test it and to make sure it didn’t blow my budget. That being said in theory I should be able to times those results by 5 today as I have uploaded the remaining keywords ready to launch. Plus the campaign was only live for about 4-5 hours yesterday as I was having issues for some reason and impressions just stopped, they seem to be fine today so far (touch wood) so I’m eager to see the results.
If all of this theory becomes a reality I’m expecting to break the 4 figure day not only in revenue but profit too.
Wish me luck!

Congrats! 60,000 keywords. I must be doing something wrong. I definitely do not have that many keywords for the latest campaign I started.

Well I don’t normally have that many. Just once I got started I couldn’t stop myself lol.
That’s why I only launched with 10k keywords to see how it did, luckily it paid off so I will be launching the remaining today.
My usual approach would be gather X,XXX broad keywords and test them. Find out what sub niches within a niche seem to be doing well and expand from there. I’ve never had a great deal of money to try the opposite method and touch wood it always seems to come out on top
I’m sure things will change in the future if this picks up and does really well.

Great work, might be a good idea next time to leave a good camp alone and start a new one with the remaining keywords.
If it isnt broke dont try to fix it

Yeah I totally agree, I actually have paused everything bar my new camapign, which is in full force as we speak
I can see today being a new record day as I’m already on $340 revenue for the day (about $200 profit).
I’m really keen to see the results after I tune out the crap adgroups/keywords.
This is a great motivation post to show that when times are bad with the economy there is still plenty of money to be made. Keep pushing yourself and don’t let the campaigns that don’t suceed put you off!
