Progress in the Affiliate Marketing Industry

It’s been just over 3 weeks in my affiliate marketing career and I’ve got nothing to complain about. When I did this a few years ago I didn’t realise how beneficial it is to speak to other people about affiliate marketing and their progress, not only does it give you the motivation to keep going but you can often get a lot of new ideas to integrate into your own campaigns. This also includes building a good solid relationship with your affiliate manager.

I also think that I’ve done considerably well given the time that I have been doing this and how far I have come along.

Dealing with Yahoo Search Marketing, a brand new account is not eligible for an upgrade to a gold account until you have spent $500 for 3 months running. A couple of days ago I applied for my account to be upgraded because in the first 20 days I had spent around $1,700 with them and was getting tired of doing things the long way. They replied the same day giving me a gold account so I can now use the import tool to get campaigns up in the quickest time and make bulk edits if needed.

As you will know I’ve been working with Market Leverage and I have nothing bad to say about them, they immediately put me on monthly wires and set me a goal of $1,000 revenue a week in order to get weekly wires which will help with my cash flow. Going from my start date on the third week I hit $1,050 revenue and the last 7 days (from yesterday) it’s still is over $1,000 so my affiliate manager has said that he will apply for me to get onto weekly wires – I just need to get some additional bank details and that can be set up.

Along with reaching a number of goals and targets with Market Leverage I can expect to see my $30 reward card coming at the end of this month from the ‘Double Play. Triple Pay’ offer they were running. It turns out I was about $200-300 short of reaching the next bracket which would of given me a $75 reward card instead. I’m not complaining though, $30 extra for nothing is great – I’m not sure what I will use it for as of yet, I may save it and have a competition on the blog when I have a few of them.

While on the subject of Market Leverage I actually got a $2 bump in the payout of the offer, it doesn’t sound a lot but if I get 5 leads a day that’s an extra $10 a day so it will soon add up over the month and give me more leverage when bidding on keywords.

I was actually talking to my AzoogleAds affiliate manage about their bracket to get put onto weekly wires because I’ve worked with them in the past and they were a great company to deal with. To cut a long story short he said that there is no minimum amount and it’s up to his discretion so I was keen to get started with them as soon as I could.

This led onto talking about the campaign I’m currently running and he said that they have an offer for that niche that converts so much better but the payout was around $5 less. He said if I come over to Azoogle he will match the payout I’m currently getting so I have swapped over the links to see if it really does convert better – that would be great if it did because it means I will have instantly increased my revenue, profit and ROI with doing a simple change.

I will post in a few days how the switch went, all in all it’s been a good few weeks and I have learnt so much about the industry and to top it off I’ve come out making money from it and a number of great people.
