October’s Goal – The Results!
-
If you have been reading the blog throughout October you may be aware of the personal goals I set myself, if not here is what they were:
• To reach 50 RSS subscribers
• To earn $4,000 in revenue from affiliate marketing whilst making a profitFirst off I am happy to say with the release of my eBook I managed to smash my RSS goal by over 10 readers, at the highest point throughout the month I managed to attain 68 readers for a couple of days. Since then it’s been hovering around the 61 mark which I’m pleased about. I want to turn that number into triple figures by the end of year at the very latest. Here is what my subscriber count has been like since the start:

Edit: This was actually a scheduled post written on the 3rd November to be published on the 4th, I quickly checked my feedburner stats and noticed it had now jumped to 86! (as from the 3rd November)
If you haven’t subscribed, be sure to get involved as not only will subscribing by email allow you to get new posts sent via email – it will automatically enter you into any competitions I hold in the future which I’m in the process of sorting out to give something back to you all
.On another positive note the $4,000 in revenue goal was also shattered as I made a grand total of $4,853 with a profit. Now the profit is a little concerning to me because it’s not a great deal but I know for a fact it could have been better. The end profit for October was $147.57 which isn’t anything special but the reason it was so low was because for the last week or so I turned on a campaign I had running a while back that seemed to just about break even, that actually lost me a couple of hundred so I’m fairly confident my profit would have been around the $500 mark last month if I didn’t turn that campaign on.
If I’m totally honest I’ve not made a great deal of progress in my affiliate marketing career as there is too much going on in my life at the moment, I’m still getting time to make small changes to my campaign but not as much as I would like to. On a good note I am in the process of building out my current campaign into a large wordpress site to try and get the results I was seeing a few weeks ago – and to also focus on organic traffic for a long term campaign with much higher ROI.
I’m not rushing this because I’m creating a custom wordpress theme from scratch so that I can have it exactly the way I want it.
