New Profit Record: $10,000/day
-
I know I said in my last ‘record’ post that I will no longer be posting daily goals but I think this one is quite an achievement compared to breaking the next 1k barrier etc. Back on March 17th of this year you may know I managed to finally break into a 4 figure profit – yesterday I saw my first 5 figure day profit which feels great
Here are the stats from yesterday:
Spend – $5,201.22
Revenue – $15,909
Profit – $10,707.78
ROI – 205.87%It’s funny how things change because I chat daily to a couple of close friends in the affiliate marketing industry comparing stats, having some healthy competition and helping each other out and now I get worried when I only make that $1,000 profit in a single day.
Anyway this will be my last day record post (I promise this time) and will be going to monthly record/goals. I have seen some good days this month so I’m eager to find out what the end result will be.

Awesome job Richard! Just discovered your blog about a week ago and subscribed to it straight away… Have read just about all the posts here – putting the pieces together it sounds like most of your success in the past has been on Yahoo and Google’s content network…I assume that’s still the case? If so, would LOVE to see a writeup of how you approach a new campaign on the Content network (preferably Google’s).
Congratulations on your success!

@ Jack – 1 main campaign that brings in the majority of my revenue/profit at the moment.
@ Derek – I’m only doing CPA offers at the moment.
@ Jayl – Thanks, if you are refering to just starting at affiliate marketing just stick at it. Expect to lose money at first, build up your knowledge and learn from your own experience.
Set daily budgets so that you don’t overspend in a short amount of time and leave yourself nothing to work with.

Awesome achievement Richard. I’ll be catching up to you some day.
Once you reach such a ridiculous amount, doing 1k becomes frustrating. Doesn’t it? This I guess is the sad part about making so muhc money, that you always craving for more. And when you make less than your usual, it gets to you.
Great job and good luck. Don’t become greedy

Hey Richard,
I take it that the Google Content slap that went around last week didn’t affect you? You must be doing something right.
Kudos bro

@ Gary – Thanks, it gives me more motivation to work on my things seeing my blog become more active. When I set my 2009 goals I wanted to get to 1,000 readers and that’s the only goal that I’m not 100% confident I will reach.
@ JasperP – It’s available lol
@ Niche – I agree, Looking back and speaking to family and friends they look at me gone out when I say “damn I only made X yesterday” or something. Then every single one of them says “You’l have to teach me how to do that…”
@ Stanlee – Fingers crossed I haven’t seen a slap come my way yet
@ Kobe – Not all of it no, I haven’t got my Google side of things going to full strength yet, still tweaking etc so fingers crossed my earnings will increase yet again in the near future.
@ John – Hmm good question, to tell you the truth I usually get up around 10am and turn my computer on etc. Chill out a bit while I wake up properly checking emails and yesterdays stats – import them into my spreadsheet then deal with anything major.
I don’t have a set schedule at the moment which may be giving me a disadvantage of not treating it like a proper business.
Depending on the day and my mood will depend how much work I get done, I do give myself weekly goals and I will achieve these 9 times out of 10.
The last few days have been better for me as I’ve been getting much more done as my girlfriend is out of the house so I get to concentrate
I usually don’t go to bed until any time between 1am-4am so I work as much as possible in between those hours unless the weathers nice (need to take advantage of nice weather in the UK) or a weekend.
I’ll start monitoring my daily routine a bit more and perhaps do a post about it in the near future.
@ Affbuzz – Thanks, cheers for the add on your site too – let’s hope it helps me with my 1,000 subscriber goal this year.

I get that a lot too. But hardly anyone follows up with me after that. People are lazy in general.

@ Deneil – I’m looking forward to seeing what it ends up on too
@ Niche – I get a little annoyed at it now because it’s not like I haven’t put months into learning and testing and then people ask for me to show them sometime – like it’s going to be a couple of hours and there set.
Like you said though I bet the thought of them putting in so many hours and willing to risk the money will deter them anyway from getting started.

It will feel good. The hardest part is getting to 100 then 500 then 1K then 5K once you hit those the rest is just multiplying what you have learned.

I see what you mean, the jump from $5k-$10k for me personally wasn’t that difficult. For some reason it just jumped up overnight
My next goal is to try and get to $33,333/day in revenue so that I am generating $1mil a month.

Richard, are you paying yahoo in advance to the run the traffic?
Unlike Adwords, YSM requires you keep 3x the your daily budget in the account all the time. Given you daily spend, your must have 10k at any given time in your YSM account.
Have you looked into post-pay plan? Yahoo requires your to spend 10k+ a month for 3 consecutive months to be considered for post-pay.

@ Niche – I do pay in advance with Yahoo! yeah, they don’t require you to keep 3x the spend so long as you don’t run out of funds. So I do have to keep an eye on it to make sure I have enough to run my campaigns.
I will get in touch about the post pay but I have been in contact about some sort of invoicing before in which they said that they do not lend to individuals. There could be a way around it by using my company name opposed to being an individual.
Are you setup with post pay with them?

post pay for YSM works out great once you start hitting the high numbers. as i assume you are manually adding funds to not have 3x’s worth.

Are you working on post pay? I’m not sure how I would go about it as I’ve been told they don’t do it anymore :S

No, I’m not set up yet. I called in last month when I spent 10k with yahoo. They said I would need submit a credit application, in which they do all kinds of background check and requires you to submit three references (companies I dealt with borrowing money).
I couldn’t qualify since I need three consecutive months with 10k+ spend. This month will be my 2nd.
But this whole post-pay process is so lame. Yahoo really needs to improve their service or else they are going to lose their advertisers to Bing (Microsoft)
