LP Clickthrough for Text Ads/Keywords
-
I have to admit that I’m a php noob, I have bought a couple of books but so far I haven’t even began to read them so I didn’t have any ideas that this kind of thing has been going on. I’ll just direct you to the reason of this post as it’s explained over at nerdyaffiliate.
We need to start a petition to get him to release a similar mod for referrers

That’s neat stuff. But Richard do you recommend statsjunky or proper202?
What’s difference between tacking202 and proper202?

I haven’t used statsjunky yet so I can’t comment on that. From the looks of it though as it’s hosted on your pc what would happen if your computer was to die and need wiping – I guess you would lose everything.
As for p202 and t202, p202 is the self hosted version which you install onto your server, this is open source so if you know how to you could make some nice mods for it as the one mentioned above.

Richard, I’m still waiting for your email about some tips on content network?
I started few content network campaigns on Yahoo. But to this date I’ve gotten 0 impressions and 0 clicks. I don’t what else to do. I’m taking your advice and only doing one keywords per ad group in my yahoo content campaign. Is this sound about right?

@ Niche – I’m a little busy at the moment with my own personal stuff to sort the guide out sorry.
In my previous posts about the content I never said to have 1 keywords per adgroup, that’s for the search network. You are best having 15-30 keywords on the content network to estabilsh a theme of sites for your ads to show on.

Instead of giving you a generci landing page ctr, it breaks it down to keyword/adgroup/referer level giving you much more data to work with.
For example say you have a campaign with 3 keywords:
keyword 1 – 15 clicks
keyword 2 – 20 clicks
keyword 3 – 15 clicks
You had a total of 50 clicks and 10 go through to the offer your landing page CTR is 20% right?
With this mod it will tell you the following information:
keyword 1 – 15 clicks – 7 clicked through = 46.67% CTR
keyword 2 – 20 clicks – 1 clicked through = 5% CTR
keyword 3 – 15 clicks – 2 clicked through = 13.33% CTR
Obviously you would have to look at the end conversions but you can begin to tell from that what keywords have the potential. Those are just made up numbers and 15-20 clicks generally isn’t anything to make harsh decisions on but you get the point

Any tips on how to set a starting bid on the content network? Are there any tool you use to get the top bidders CPC?
Thanks!
