Lose Weight While Washing Your Hair!
-
Hi my names Sally and I’m from < INSERT YOUR CITY >….
Joking aside I was in the shower the other day and went to use the shampoo, check out what I saw on the label

I’m sure that if you combine both the shampoo and conditioner you will have unbelievable results, heck you may even find a coupon to get a free trial of the stuff!

I’m sure the colon is included in the conditioner
I was a little inactive in regards to affiliate marketing in the beginning of the year but I will check my records and get that post up shortly.

Hi Richard! Great blog, i see your back more into PPC, that’s good! Was wondering if you used anything to guide you when you started(a ppc course or something like that)? Also, have i seen your more into the content network then search (is it best:P)
Anyways it’s always good to read your post, it’s kinda inspiring when reading back your post from the beginning! I’m not gonna quit, that’s one thing i’ve learned hehe. Oh last thing, how many keywords per adgroup is best?
Well thanks alot, keep up the good work!!

I was a member of the click consultants forum when I started, I believe that it’s a little inactive now (it was when I left a month or so ago) but mainly just trial and error.
In regards to search/content I’ve had success in both, I can’t really say which is the better option I guess your best creating a campaign on each
When it comes to your adgroups I tend to have 1 keyword per adgroup on search and about 10-15 per adgroup on content. If you have the funds I would get speed ppc to allow creation of the campaigns much faster.

Ok i see, well i’m pretty much there also…trial and errors. Tough so far, with msn, i’m not getting alot of impressions…Msn said to me that it was a budget problem, but that can’t be the case!(50$/per with 1500$/month limit). And if it’s a tweaking/testing problem, well with not much info about my campaing so far, can’t really do testing yet i think!:S
Also, that’s good to know you do 1 keyword/adgroup…i do that too! But do you start with alot of keywords or less(starting with around 800-1000 keywords or les than 500?) I have like close to 700 of them(so 700 adgroups) and some don’t even show any ad position or anything (looks like they could be unknown from bing, wich would be weird!) Is the budget depending on the # of keywords/adgroup?
Lastly, is it good to trust the advanced bid calculation to bring some keywords in the sweet spot(position 8 at least)…and be paying like 1.50-1.60 per click when starting the campaign? Or should i stay under the 1$…
Anyways, i really appreciate your feedback, your blog as been a great ressource, i’ve red your blogs from your beginning and seing your progress wow very impressive…cliche to say, but your a good inspiration to follow! Your not a guru, but your successful enough and your there to help your readers. Your great:P
Thanks Again Richard!

I haven’t really gone into msn as much as I would like to at the minute so I can’t suggest anything on that side.
In regards to keywords I tend to start with a lower batch, maybe 200-300 and go from there. I don’t have a set limit I aim for, just depends on my mood and how thorough I am doing the research.
I do tend to use broad/advanced bidding so that it brings in as much traffic as possible, I use prosper202 to monitor things so I can keep an eye on any stray keywords spending a fortune.
Thanks for the kind words

Ok thanks for these tips, after reading other blogs and all, i really thought a big keyword list was needed for good results…guess not!
One thing tough, you forgot about this part:P ” I have like close to 700 of them(so 700 adgroups) and some don’t even show any ad position or anything (looks like they could be unknown from bing, wich would be weird!) Is the budget depending on the # of keywords/adgroup?

Even if it’s with msn, just refer to google or yahoo, at least it’ll guide me more:)
thanks!

I’m guessing that if you are not getting impressions for certain keywords then they are either:
- low search volume
- too low bid
or both, try increasing the max bid and see if they start getting any activity.
Having the advanced/broad ookeyword option will allow you to show up for other terms related to your keywords. I’m not sure how it goes about what position it shows it in.
When it comes to setting your bids I would concentrate on the keyword you are actually using because you could end up paying a fortune using a higher bid on a broad keyword. For example if you bid $3 or something on ‘weight loss’ hoping to get positions for other terms related to weight loss you would go through your budget very quickly for terms you may not want to show up for.
Hope that helpss
