Don’t Buy Domains When Your Drunk
-
The title says it all to be honest, I was out having a few (too many) drinks the other night and had a great idea for a campaign I intended on running. I wrote a note in my phone so that I could follow it up when I was next on my computer, however I made the mistake of going on the PC when I got back that night.
Long story short is that I woke up with an email saying I’ve registered a new domain but the problem was I had spelt it wrong
The domain I wanted was LATEST*KEYWORD*.com, the one I ended up with was LASTEST*KEYWORD*.com – no wonder I was in shock when I believed it was still available under the .com. Just a side note the one I ended up with makes no sense whatsoever.

LOL – that’s really funny. I always get nervous, even when sober, when I’m buying a domain. I probably triple check to make sure it’s spelled correctly!

Yeah I still play around with CPA, I haven’t really read any ebook about it. You could check out this: http://www.clickconsultants.com/free-cc-forums-update.
He’s offering it free at the moment, I was a member there back in the day which helped me a great deal

My wife does some of her best domain buys after a few drinks. I am like you however and am luck to spell things right when sober. Guess, depending on the person, it’s the “norm” but not the “rule”.

Even worse is to get involved in a domain auction after a few drinks. I found myself bidding $15,000 one time because it seemed like a good idea. Luckily the other guy was even more convinced.

That could work
I’ll have to see what this weekend brings as it’s prime time to snap up stupid mispellings of domains that don’t make sense.

Someone where I work registered a domain with bongs in the title when it was supposed to be bonds. Lunch drinks are bad too.
