Day 2 – 13th August 2008
-
Right, I’ll get straight to the point because we all know why you’re here
.After my first day being profitable I was excited to see how this campaign was going to turn out, so after the tweaking yesterday and another 24 hours on it this is where it’s at.
Impressions: 8,936
Clicks: 79
CTR: 0.88%
Avg CPC: $0.38
Cost: $30.17
Revenue: $56.00
Profit: $25.83
ROI: 85.61%So, as you can see the impressions were dramatically reduced, along with the clicks I received. This in turn means that it cost me far less as the average CPC stayed exactly the same. The great thing about it was that the revenue also stayed exactly the same giving me an increase in profit and ROI on a whole.
Also YSM has assigned my ad groups a quality score of either 3 or 4 blocks which I’m happy about. There is one ad group with the maximum 5 blocks but as time goes on and more data is collected I will be able to target 5 blocks throughout the campaign.
I’m targeting the overall campaigns CTR to be a minimum of 1% so by weeding out those keywords that were getting impressions but 0 clicks has put me in good stead to achieve this in a few days providing that the trend keeps up.
What I’ve done today
Based on those results I was eager to tweak it yet again in the hope to improve the results today, I followed the same method of yesterday’s tuning process and I’m hoping for the overall CTR to be at least 0.90% for the day.
Just an update on my August 2008 goal ($1,000 in revenue in the last half of the month), I’m well on target so if things keep up the way they are I will be raising the bar next month!

Richard, how did you do it?:P I mean, how did you do your niche, offer and keywords research back then(pls elaborate a bit more on that)? You seemed to always had a good niche/offer with good traffic and many impressions enough clicks to see results after a couple of days!
