CPA: Campaign #1 Launched
-
Following my case study of Clickbank vs. CPA I have got round to getting all of my templates done for testing and got my first CPA campaign up and running.
I have just uploaded it using AdWords Editor so I am awaiting everything to go live and hopefully some traffic coming my way.
One thing that I’m curious to see on this campaign is that initial research and estimations showed that there isn’t a great deal of volume in this niche – on the other hand my gut feeling suggests different. It’s a fairly common thing so I don’t see how there wouldn’t be any volume in it. I know that Google’s estimates are way off but I have been watching some material that shows you how to use it to gain as much insight as you can so I’m willing to give it a shot and see how it does.
As I stated in my original posts I am giving each campaign a test budget of $500, I believe when/if that gets spent I should have a good idea if to spend any more time on it.
I will update tomorrow with the first days results and hopefully there will be some numbers

Hey Richard, nice blog there. Been following it for a while.
Just wondering, you mentioned throwing up a basic template to test out those offers. How do you get past the Adwords QS and the whole issue of customer experience?

@ Mihai – Thanks, I don’t mind giving as much information as I can without revealing too much of course. Even if I state the niches I’m trying that fail it doesn’t mean that they won’t work at all.
The next affiliate might come across and do things a little different and have a totally difference experience, I just assume that I have the combination of keywords, ad and landing page wrong so I will probably just move on – I will save all my data for it and perhaps revisit it at a later date, who knows.
@ Dean – When I mean basic template I mean in the appearance and structure, for each niche I will be doing unique content relevant to the offer/product and creating several other content pages to try and increase my quality score and reduce bids.
It just allows me to get a landing page up without having to think about the design and coding it, obviously if they niche shows potential I will go back and create a unique landing page/site to increase the performance.
The overall goal is to try and test niches out doing just enough work to get a good accurate test and take it from there.
