Blog Income Report: March 2009
-
For the second month running my network referral income dropped again, it doesn’t bother me that much because it was money for nothing and I didn’t include that into my real income because it wasn’t anything significant.
A good thing is that my blogs income is actually increasing having all of my banner slots taken at the time of writing this which is a good sign.
The total income for March from this blog was $98.48.
Although it’s not much it still pays more than my hosting accounts each month

James, just ask Richard any question and he will reply. You’re not doing yourself any good by attacking him.

Richard, keep up the great work! Your posts are always inspiring. You’ll have some negative comments, from the bad apples. This truly means you are at SUCCESS & banking big! and people are jealous. Negativity won’t get anyone anywhere Fast!

Although I’ve been a silent reader for some time I just wanted to say that keep up the good work with the blog!
I admire your work and the information you give out very much!
While my blog generates a little more it is my only source of revenue online and i’ve been planning the jump to affiliate marketing but haven’t really tried it yet…
There are 2 questions that have been stopping me that I haven’t found the answers to (I haven’t really looked):
1) After setting up a website/landing page – do you always buy traffic to get it going or do you rely on free methods (which are a lot more timeconsuming)?
2) What’s the smallest amount I could use to start a campaign and tell whether it’s working or not? 100 dollars? 1000 dollars?
Great website!

Richard
when people make pathetic comments like James its because life isnt that great for him so as an entrpraneur you have to realise you will always have people like this who are so negative and envious.
Keep up the good work

@ Roman, thanks for the comment. In regards to your questions here goes:
1) At this minute in time I usually rely on PPC to drive traffic to a page. Obviously this is just to test to see what works. Once I find converting keywords I will try to branch out and get the keyword as a domain name, write content up and revolving around that keyword and then try to rank organically for that term.
2) I started affiliate marketing with a very limited budget. I did research what I was doing for a couple of months prior to starting so I had a good idea what to do. I would say when testing a new campaign $100 would be enough if that’s all you can afford, just obv don’t throw up 10,000 keywords set at $1 max bid. Your budget would be blown away quickly. At this moment in time I usually set my daily budget for a new campaign to $50-$100 and let it run a couple of days to a week then look at the data.
@ Tony – I agree 100%

good job! I made over $600.00 this month with my blog targmart.com which is way up from previous months. The past months that I didn’t work hard for only earned about $200. I guess the hardest part about making money online is getting traffic to your website. Ok keep up the good work
William.

Hey its me again. I think having a website that caters to every product on the internet also works very well. Also, As I go adding products to my webpage from eBay I come by keywords (product names & types) that convert really well with google adwords. So far in 18 days i’ve made 1,300.00 – I sold two cars (one porsche and one ford mustang) which I got 122.00 from each, and 45 other bids for vehicles which I will probably not win. People say to not bother with promoting cars but I feel like they’re just trying to steer people away from competing with their market. If you ask me its very very worth the time to promote cars.
I only have about 2,500 pages indexed by google right now. However I’ve only had my domain & website for less than a year. The mere fact that it’s gone up every month or so is a good sign that I’m doing something right.
It’s very tedious to do what i’m doing by trying to add every possible product available on ebay by category. I think that it will pay off though.
The funny thing is that I was just laid off by my employer. I’ve been able to make enough money to get by with rent and credit card bills.
Anyhow. Hope everyone learns something from this comment.
William @ targmart.com
PS: I forgot to mention I was using the affiliate network ebaypartnernetwork.com to rake in all of this money.
