Are You a Lazy Affiliate?
-
These last few months have really hit me when I look back at them. If you have been following my blog for any length of time (or just checked out my monthly income reports) you will agree that I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride from the beginning.
Although my bad months are still a pretty good wage for a 22 year old I have learnt to never be complacent with my performance. Some of my posts seem to be a bit odd in the fact I complain how much I make when in fact there not that bad, this isn’t because I’m bitching over nothing.
Back in June when I had my best month I let that go to my head, I began slacking off thinking I deserved it. I was working hard and it did finally pay off so I took the odd day off, unfortunately that day turned into weeks and I always used the excuse “I had a good month last month so it’s ok”. The thing is I kept relating to that ‘good’ month whenever I had a bad one and things just kept spiralling downwards the last 2 months. Due to that reason my average profit/month has dropped $5,000 just from those two last months of me not being as motivated as I should have been.
What is quite scary is that if things kept going the way they were and I was just relying on that pretty much 1 campaign I could be facing a very tough time in a few months. I have spent the first week of this month reworking my main campaign and managed to get that back making a decent enough profit.
I am now spending my time working on other various campaigns and traffic sources to try and spread my income out making it much more stable. More to the point I have been working much more and feeling better in myself.
As mentioned I’m looking into various other traffic sources which include media buys so I’m curious to see how this month turns out, it could be a loss but at least I will have tested out various niches/ideas for future months.
The moral of the post is whether you make $1,000 a month or $100,000 – keep on pushing like it’s going to end tomorrow.

What’s more, what about lazy beginner affiliates? There is a reason most affiliates can’t even get off the ground.

Yeah I agree, many new affiliates things it’s going to be an easy ride so don’t bother putting 100% of their effort into it.
