Affiliate Marketing Results: June 2009
-
To be totally honest there isn’t much to say about last months earnings other than I managed to break one of my 2009 goals and become a 6 figure/month affiliate in revenue.
I did let my motivation slip down and I have spent a fair amount of time away from my computer and enjoying the benefits of working from home when/how much you want. I also bought a new car which I’m still trying to get round to taking some pics and getting a post sorted.
Anyway here is how I did in June:
Revenue = $144,472.76
Spend = $74,150.29Profit = $70,322.47
As you will know I had some really good days in June which I posted about, since then my performance has slowed a little but that’s due to not working on my affiliate marketing. I will be picking up where I left off and trying to hit that 6 figure profit per month.

That’s really amazing. I follow your blogs since you started…I started slmost at the same time as you but I am still nowhere. Only few sales here and there and you reached to 6 figures. No idea how somebodyt could reach there???? Anyway…congrats on your achievement.

Ah Yes, the post I’ve been waiting for! Great stuff Richard, you’re always progressing and getting better, and it’s inspiring for us newbies.

Richard, this is a nice accomplishment. Don’t let this money sit around. Maybe invest in a hot property or land. Making 70k profit is huge but here in at least 20k of it will be going to the government in taxes.
p.s. I posted my earnings as well. I’m taking it easy as well. Life is little less stressful now

Richard, I know you primarly focus on the content network but are you promoting CPA lead gen offers or more pay per sale type stuff?

@ Jason – Thanks.
@ himi – Thanks, I got a Range Rover Sport (the 4.2 v8 supercharged first edition) I will get round to getting a post up with some pics when I get it washed etc
@ Kinjal – When I started and saw people making these figures I was exactly the same as you, keep pushing and working hard on your campaigns and you will get there.
My main problem is that I began to take time off etc and it does affect profits so you have to keep pushing yourself – regardless of volume.
@ Tipjar – If it helps one person get off their ass and work harder then I’m happy
Thanks for the comment
@ Niche – Yeah I dread to think how much the tax man will want, other than buying the car I haven’t touched any of it (bar wages of course) and I plan on investing it back into my PPC efforts to scale things even higher.
@ Affbuzz – Thanks, this month so far isn’t off to break any new records but who knows, it could only take a couple of good days to flip that around.
I’m putting the hours back into working now I’ve had a short break away.
@ Jason – I’m actually in the process of building a search campaign and trying out other niches – they mainly remain in the CPA side of things.
@ Deneil Merritt – Glad to hear! thanks for the comment
@ Brad Walker – That’s pretty much one of the main reaosns I started this blog, one being a good referance for me in the future to look back at what’s happened and I’ve always enjoyed reading stories of other people’s work (successful or not)

As an addition I just wanted to say its boggling to me how you can make that sort of money and then say in the same post how you have eased off, been distracted, not pushing as hard as you should !!

@ Gary – In affiliate marketing you will always have your good and your bad hours/days/weeks/months and towards the end of May I was working on it pretty solid due to the shitty month I was having and as it picked up (combined with nice weather over here in the UK) I relaxed abit and let it run on auto pilot pretty much the whole time checking it daily just to ensure it didn’t go down or anything.
What I meant by me not pushing myself as hard as I should is that when I had a good day, I should have remained working the next day pushing it even further etc.
