ad:tech London
-
Being my first affiliate marketing event I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was finally good to put faces to the names I’ve been speaking to for over a year in some cases. Anyway I headed down to London on the Tuesday morning and stopped the night coming back Wednesday.
I didn’t actually spend much time at ad:tech itself because I wasn’t really interested in the sessions or learning new things, it was more to network and see some of my affiliate managers and other affiliates.
Once we got there we headed for the elephant traffic party tickets for the evening, met up with the guys from Copeac then pretty much went to the pub and chilled out speaking about random shit
Grabbed food, more beers then got ready for the party which was pretty impressive. Although being from the UK I can honestly say I’ve been to London once before so it was all new to me too which was decent and the party location was really smart – not to mention an open bar which was even better.
It was a good laugh and can’t wait for the next one which I’m sure I’ll be attending. I best get some “how to speak American” videos from YouTube

You best get those videos.
My wife and I went to Cancun, MX for our honeymoon and there was a couple from the UK and a guy from Australia and we had more of a difficult time understanding the British dialect versus the Australian. Funny how languages are so similar yet one can have a difficult time understanding someone.
There is a huge difference in speech in the US when you talk to someone from California, someone from New York, and someone from down south like Louisiana.
Anyway, glad to see you had a good time.

@ Anton – I actually paused them because I need to check on stats to see the situation, the clickbank one didn’t get any sales I dont think
@ Steven – where is that? not seen much about it to be honest
@ Josh – Yeah, to be honest some areas from the UK are hard for me to understand lol.
@ Dina – I hope so yeah, I’m trying to set myself work goals to achieve and reward myself by going to the conference. I’ll probably still end up going anyway
@ Joe – I’m from Sheffield

You have to come to NY! I don’t get across the pond (that’s the phrase, right), so I’d love to meet you in NY. I’m sure Chris would, too.

@ Steven – I might have to look into that then
@ Dina – Well I’ve never been to NY so it would be good if I come, I’ve set a goal of getting X more profitable decent campaigns going by June/July and I’ll come
