ad:tech London 22-23 September 2009

I was supposed to get over to Affiliate Summit last month but I had some issues come up which prevented me from going much to my disappointment. Anyway this month I don’t really have any excuse not to go, it’s only a train journey away and I have already registered for my free exhibit hall pass as I’m not really interested in the sessions taking place – it’s more to network and meet up with some of my affiliate managers.
Something I am curious about is whether or not I’ll need business cards to hand out etc, this will be my first event so wondered if any of you can push me in the right direction.
Also if anyone else is going give me a shout and we can meet up or something.

Yeah, you’re going to want business cards to hand out, especially since you’re going for the networking aspect.

I’ll be attending, Well Hopefully if I can get the time off work!.. unfortunately not Generating a full time income online just yet.
I would definitely recommend getting some business cards done. A lot of people will ask/expect you to have one.

Yeah I think it would be best to get some sorted out, I’ll have a browse around to find a decent enough place and get them sorted sooner rather than later.

Got them sorted – good old vistaprint 250 plus a holder for about £10 delivered, only basic shitty ones for now but they do the job

good luck with vistaprint! hope they turn out okay.. the first batch I ordered were pretty crap. But i was a bit ambitious with the colours.
I’m Going to try and see what i can find on the high street tomorrow.
Hopefully I’ll make it to the event and might just bump into you. Are you attending both days?
Some of the seminars look pretty good for someone just starting out like myself.

I just chose a design I thought looked decent enough and went with that
I should be there for both days yeah although I’m not attending any of the sessions.

I am attending! But my purpose is not only to network and meet my affiliate managers but also to attend some sessions. Shall we meet up there?

Yeah I will be taking my phone down with me which has access to the internet so I’ll be able to get in touch with people I don’t yet know personally.

Hi Richard,
adtech will be a good show for you I am sure.
At the very least having business cards you can drop them in goldfish bowls to win ipods or other random stuff.
I run a CPA Network and our parent company will have a booth. I don’t know what random giveaways we have, but would love to talk to you. We don’t get many UK based people who get the CPA space, it’s mostly US people and the US affiliates we work with are killing the UK at the moment.
I’ve followed you on Twitter and hopefully you will update your movements on there.
