Since I began affiliate marketing over a year ago I’ve pretty much been a one man band, I’ve shared various things to close friends don’t get me wrong but the stuff that makes you money begins to be a secret you will take to the grave. In this industry sharing too much information will only affect your earnings.

However today I’ve been chatting to a good friend about some new things and hopefully it will be the start of something that will work out great. I speak to him daily about affiliate marketing but we never go into any specific details about what each other is doing or plan on doing.

Anyway to cut a long story short we was talking today and one thing led to another and we had come up with some great ideas, I have no idea if they will work or not but it’s something to definitely test. We actually both launched a small test campaign to see some results (if any) and if it shows potential.

The point of the post is that sometimes 2 heads are better than 1, I’m not saying that either of us would have eventually came up with the idea but we did it within the space of an hour or so. If it turns out to be a winner having one more competition shouldn’t affect things that much that it wouldn’t be worth doing. Just think how many competitors are working on the acai markets or other popular rebills. Plus in theory if 2 of you are working on things you should be able to double your output making finding those winners faster :)

I’ve always found it easier to talk to someone about things, it just seems to click much better and down the line if you have a small group or people you trust and all give valuable input they can critic your ads, landing pages etc to help you move forward – and vice versa.

  1. I think having a partner on certain projects who is located in another country is also useful — for example, while I’m sleeping you will be working and vice versa…together we can work the thing 24 hours a day until completion…

  2. Yeah that’s a good idea, I never thought about that type of thing.

I wonder how it would work then picking up where you left off etc and vice versa. Unless you have different tasks within a campaign.

I’ve got a group of about 4 friends I talk to on a daily basis about some things. At different times we will JV on some stuff to get something ranked quicker, split the workload, or combine some ideas. I always try to spend an additional amount of time on reading blogs, e books, posts to learn something new or a different way to do things. I always do try to find ways to automate any task. I’ve heard some things about ubot being amazing for people who can’t code.
