Having a positive mindset plays an important role in affiliate marketing, I mean how many people can honestly watch them self potentially lose money and not let that affect the way they work. Take my situation for example, the first 20 days of my affiliate marketing journey I made a profit of about $400 which I thought was great. My first real campaign making money from day one, I had some days at a loss but the profits always covered it in the end. That gave me a great mindset for the first full month wondering how much I will make in profit – I actually made a loss of about $100 in total during September but it honestly didn’t bother me. I don’t see it as a loss, more as an investment and I’m happy with Septembers outcome because that one profitable campaign almost carried me through the month having tried about 3-4 different niches that lost me money and at one point I was over $500 in the red due to the keyword incident I had.

That means in the last few days I managed to almost break even so based on those 20 days there is no reason why shouldn’t be able to take that $600 (based on a whole month roughly – ($400/20)x30) and push it over the $1,000 profit barrier.

Yesterday was a great day for me as overall, including my new campaign which is running at a small loss I managed to generate $333.75 revenue spending $215.08 in total. Those results on a constant basis would put me in the $10,000+/month bracket which would a great goal to achieve within just a few months.

With that in mind I’m sticking with these 2 campaigns at the moment and revisiting my first campaign which is doing all of the work, my initial goal is to build out a mini site and pack it with content based on the data I have gathered. I’m wanting to take it from being a $XXX/day to a $X,XXX/day campaign in the very near future.

At the same time I am tweaking and tuning my other campaign to see if I can get good results from that, yesterday saw my first sale from it which was a good sign because it’s a very competitive (and lucrative ) niche and my bids put me in about 8th-10th position so I have increased those today.

The purpose of this post isn’t to basically show off or anything but to show you not to let the factor of losing money put you off affiliate marketing. I lost $100 over the 30 days of last month but I made $118.67 in profit yesterday alone . What I learnt last month was well worth the $3.33/day is cost me.
