2009 Goals
-
With it coming up to the New Year I guess it would be good to get some goals set up for 2009 to see how I get on. Here they are:
1) Become a full time affiliate marketer
I’m not one to moan about having a full time job as well working on my affiliate marketing campaigns, I don’t really class affiliate marketing as work because I do enjoy doing it (especially when it’s profitable
).I guess it’s more of the fact of me being able to work as much or as little as I like, although I will probably be working a lot more hours than I already do.
2) Hit 6 figures a month
This is a big jump seen as I am currently only a 5 figure/month affiliate but I feel that getting started is the hardest part, I’m pretty confident that I will be able to reach this goal well before the end of 2009.
3) Reach 1,000 RSS subscribers
I think that this will be my hardest goal for this year, I’m really impressed with how my blog has done since I started it. Although I haven’t hit 100 readers yet I’m sure that will come after time, hopefully it will be a snowball effect after to get me heading in the right direction

Good luck on reaching your goals, judging by your recent successes, these should all be very attainable

Good luck and hope you’ll gain the goals. Btw, I just try to forget about goals, just let them flow self.

@ goblogging
I always used to try and beat previous personal bests as a ‘goal’ but I do think there is a lot of subconscious things going on. Mainly after many conversations with Paul from http://www.inspiredmoneymaker.com, he’s a great guy who has made me change my way of thinking.
I remember speaking to him when I first started this blog that I am not doing this as a source of income (although every little helps) and that my goal is to hit the 100 RSS reader mark by the new year, at this moment in time my count says 100

Wow. All the best in reaching your goals Richard.
I’ve been thinking about going into affiliate marketing myself but unfortunately my niche blog doesn’t really present much opportunities/products for me to sell/promote.
Btw, when you say 5-figure per month, do you mean your income? If then why don’t you just quit your day job? Thanks.
P.S Forgive the affiliate marketing noob. :p

Hey Ulrik,
When most affiliate marketers state their income they are most likley talking about revenue, my campaigns roughly run at about 100% ROI so my actual profit is around half of my ‘revenue’.
