2009 Goals Half Way Point

Back in December I set 3 goals for 2009 and seen as we are just past half way through the year I figured I would give an update how they are going. This is a summary of what my goals consisted of:

    1) Become a full time affiliate marketer

Having set this in December I was pretty happy to have become a full time affiliate marketer by the end of March, my main problem was always trying to find the right time to make the jump but I realized that it will never come round so just decided to do it – so far so good!

    2) Hit 6 figures a month

It’s took me 6 months to reach this goal as June was my first month to hit 6 figures in revenue as you can see from this post. I’m still really happy with this because when I was setting my goals I said that I was only doing 5 figures/month in revenue so it’s a pretty big jump.

    3) Reach 1,000 RSS subscribers

I always knew this would be the hardest of the 3 goals, I’m only on about ~400 readers at the moment which does put me behind target but with every new goals I post about I get a flood of people signing up which gives me the motivation (ish) to keep putting more work into my affiliate marketing efforts to assist this goal.

I think I will be having a competition of some sort to give a reason to subscribe to the blog, I will have a think about it and keep you all updated.

How many campaigns do you have? )) Cannot believe this income comes from only 1 content network campaigns.

Btw, Richard – did you try Clickbank products? I’ve tested a bunch but seems that most of them aren’t good with PPC traffic – negative ROI over 99% of my campaigns still.

I’d say you’ve done pretty well so far. You’ve hit 2/3 goals and you’ve still got quite a few months left to 2009. Good luck with # 3, I predict by…September 30th you’ll be there!

    You earned it man.

    Nice work.

I’m sure you’ll reach 1,000 subscribers in no time. End of this year maybe?

2 out of 3 isn’t bad but try some blog commenting in your spare time, I am sure you will reach 1,000 rss subscribers. People love your income reports so I would do the blog commenting on blogs with the commentluv plugin the same day as your income reports. You will see people subscribing.

@ Anton – Yeah the majority of that comes from 1 main campaign. I tried a couple of clickbank stuff but I had the same results, I couldn’t manage to keep constant positive ROI.

@ MLDina – Yeah I’m happy to hit my main goals. Let’s see if you predict right :P

@ JasperP – Thanks, I’m hoping by end of year I will reach it too.

@ Eric Nagel – Thanks, appreciate it!

@ CPA Affiliates – On a month per month basis my sign ups do tend to get better so that’s good. Just hope it keeps that way

@ Deneil Merritt – Yeah I tend to get a nice bump of readers when I break new records, I guess that’s my motivation to push myself further :)

With five figure earnings each month, you should not have any problems to reach 1000 subscribers by years end. With some promotion among noobs at various forums and websites, you could reach even 2000 subscribers.

But it would be wiser to spend your time on affiliate marketing or anything else than on getting subscribers. They will come, for sure, just keep up with great work!

    Cheers
