Getting started in affiliate marketing can be very difficult, not so much of the fact of finding an offer and approach that works. I mean more to the point of finding the time to push yourself and get campaigns up and running to test things. Speaking from experience I can honestly say that you don’t begin to learn affiliate marketing until you try it, I was an avid reader of various forums and affiliate marketing blogs which helped me a great deal don’t get me wrong – but I only truly began to find out the ins and outs when I set some money aside and got stuck in. The point of this post is to try and help push you to get started!
I was never very good at keyword research which led to a very quick campaign turnaround, I threw up what I could manage and took it from there. If I ever had doubts (which were common) I simply paused it and moved on.
I don’t regret that so much now, after time I have learnt about new methods and trying my own out which has given me the knowledge to redo those campaigns in the attempt to make them profitable. It also means that I have about 3-4 different niches with the domain, landing page and content setup
. Yesterday I only had one niche running but after spending a solid night working on my affiliate campaigns I now am ready to enter 2 new niches which will go live today. I don’t expect them to be profitable (at first anyway
) but in order to find those successful campaign I need to get out there and test as much as possible, even the super affiliates say so!Another thing to keep in mind when you are starting out is your Affiliate Thermostat, most people will be thinking what the hell is that – check out this great guest post by Paul Piotrowski over at InspiredAffiliate.com

Definitely a lot of info out there in affiliate marketing. Can make my head dizzy! But you’re doing well it seems. I’m just starting out so I’m learning the ropes. Hope to learn stuff from you.

Yeah, I would advise you to limit your intial research and just set some money aside and get stuck in.
Obviously you will need to research the basics on what your doing and the niche but after that it helps to throw some money at it and take it from there.
Set a small daily budget if you don’t have the cash to invest.
